The book "Architecture of development. The Methodology of Designing modern schools" systematizes and summarizes the almost twenty years of experience of the ATRIUM architectural studio in creating educational facilities, focusing primarily on the functional and spatial aspects of school design.
Together with a wide range of industry experts, the book formulates the basic principles of designing modern educational spaces and shows real practical examples.
We really hope that this work will contribute to the improvement of the educational environment and in the futuremore children in Russia and abroad.

Based on the modern pedagogical paradigm and theory of personality development, we have rethought the architecture of school internal and external spaces, defined new scenarios for their use by students and residents of the district, worked out ways to optimize planning solutions, and analyzed the most advanced technological approaches. To achieve this:
- 30 school projects have been developed and analyzed
- 15 studies by Russian and foreign specialists have been studied and systematized
- 20 in-depth interviews with experts in the field of education, design, construction, psychology, and technology have been conducted and taken into account
- 20 space typologies have been proposed as elements of our "school builder"
The research partner is the leading architectural media "Project Russia," which has been in publication since 1995 and archives and analyzes the best domestic architectural practices.
