House in Gorki (Gorki-A)
A-House is located next to the G-House. Because of the pitched roof, the house got a nickname “Chalet”. The roof is actually part of a bracket that pierces different parts of the house, becoming a wall, a terrace or part of the floor inside the house.

This was inspired by the sloped terrain of the plot. Car access to the house is from the second level. In order to keep the panoramic views this level was split in two blocks with a see through terrace between them, so you can admire the view before even entering the house. The roof stretches above both the living block and the garage block. The main finish material for the living block is wood. It is used inside in the open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen, and in the master bedroom with outside private terraces and balconies. In contrast, the garage block with a small office is a white box. The lower level is partially buried in the landscape. It connects the upper blocks, and houses guest bedrooms and an indoor swimming pool with their own terraces that provide access to the outside.
