Private house in Nikolina gora
The site has very nice views as it is situated on the high bank of Moscow-river. The other architect made the primary project of the development. Client called for Atrium when the walls of the small house have been already built and the plan of the main house was approved.
Therefore, architects had to work mostly with the external view. However, Atrium always considers envelope according to the interior space, so the floor plans have been changed a little after the facades. Now the main house has big terraces and wide full-height windows to let owners relax with good views to the river expanses. At the same time these terraces and the rhythm of transparent and solid planes determines sculptural plastic of the volume. The client, who wanted the house to have respectable image, chose all the finishing materials: Jurassic stone creating rusted corners, some metallic moldings and dark wood.
