Green River park in the residential complex Symbol
From the very beginning, the territory of the former "Sickle and Hammer” factory was planned to be turned into a new urban oasis, making a continuation of green public areas going East from Moscow city centre. The park areas in the new complex are allocated 40% of the total building area, and according to the concept, the district was to cross the "green river" - a boulevard that becomes its main transitional and recreational route.

The visual landscape code was designed in collaboration with the Creative Workshop of Garanin Brothers. It was based on the smooth lines of the building's facades (also designed by ATRIUM). The structure of the park is built on a system of convergent and divergent paths and the streets of the complex are united by a pattern of intersecting circles.
Pedestrian and automobile bridge became the main attraction point of the garden. Eleven supports (from 3,5 to 4,5 meters in height and around 3 meters in diameter) work as improvised pots for real rowans and curling grapes. So there appears a beautiful alley on the bridge and the curved pedestrian path going around the trees creates a picturesque route.
The street zones are assembled from round modules of several types, including small architectural forms. In the centre of each "circle" is a lantern or a tree. In the same place where streets and the park intersect, key public areas are created. Visually landscaped territories will work to solve the main task - to create a diverse urban landscape.
