A graduate of the Moscow Architectural Institute, member of the Moscow Union of Architects, tutor at the Moscow Architecture School MARCH and curator of the educational programme Designing the School of the Future, Vera Butko is also a professor of the Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture.
Before founding ATRIUM, she worked at Mosproject-2 and ABD architects. In 1994, together with Anton Nadtochiy, she established the practice, which has since grown into a major architectural bureau while preserving an author-led approach to design.
Vera continues to define ATRIUM’s professional strategy and artistic direction, maintaining the format of an author-led practice as the scale and complexity of its projects increase. A key part of her work is the development of the bureau’s internal culture and the formation of a multifunctional team, where each participant in the design process can realise their own potential while working as part of a coherent creative system.

In 1994, together with Vera Butko, he founded the architectural practice ATRIUM, which has grown from a small interior design studio into a major architectural bureau working on complex projects of different scales and typologies.
Anton is actively involved in educational and public programmes. He speaks at architectural forums, international conferences and public discussions, serves on the juries of professional competitions, and acts as a curator of educational programmes and projects focused on contemporary architecture, educational environments and the cities of the future.

A graduate of the Moscow Architecture and Civil Engineering College and the Moscow Architectural Institute. In 1980, Gennady Nadtochiy defended his diploma in Urban Planning Forecasting, Functional and Spatial Organisation, and Urban Composition, after which he entered postgraduate studies at the Moscow Architectural Institute.
From 1969 to 1991, he worked at MNIITEP, part of the Main Architectural and Planning Department of Moscow, progressing from draughtsman to chief project architect. In 1992, he founded his own architectural bureau, PTM Atrium. He also worked at SIAS LLC as studio director and chief project architect. Since 2004, he has been a professor of the Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture.
Gennady Petrovich Nadtochiy is the author of more than 100 projects of different scales and levels of complexity. Since 2010, he has worked together with ATRIUM, contributing the expert perspective of a chief project architect, with a focus on functional and spatial logic, urban context and the quality of design solutions.
Yanna has worked at the company since 2017 and has held the position of CEO of ATRIUM Architectural Studio since 2026. She has many years of management experience and plays a key role in identifying market needs, analysing pricing, and developing contractual relationships with clients.
Today, Yanna is responsible for the studio’s strategic and operational development, the coordination of key management processes, support for the efficiency of internal teams, and the sustainable development of ATRIUM as the team, project scale and professional scope continue to grow. She believes that any successful business is based on a combination of high professional standards, sensitivity, tact and trust in the team.
Sergey has worked at ATRIUM since 2016 and has held the position of Art Director since 2019. He studied at Vladislav Kirpichev’s EDAS studio, received a BA in Architecture and Interior Design from the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow, and completed the MArch, ARB/RIBA Part 2 programme at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Sergey is also a tutor at the Moscow Architecture School MARCH, curator of the educational programme Designing the School of the Future, and has repeatedly served as curator of the Open City festival.
At ATRIUM, Sergey develops the practice’s artistic and conceptual language, contributes to key exhibitions, publications and public programmes, and leads special projects. He also heads the sub-brand Laboratory — the bureau’s research and experimental direction, structured around four areas: Architecture, Education, Digital and Design.
Petr has worked at ATRIUM since 2011. He received a fundamental education at the Department of Solid State Physics, Faculty of Physics, Saratov State University, and later graduated from the Faculty of Industrial and Civil Engineering at the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering. Since 2003, he has worked in architecture and design, building broad experience at the intersection of engineering, visual and spatial thinking.
Petr is responsible for the development of ATRIUM’s concept department and leads the practice’s creative team. Through his work and contribution, ATRIUM’s projects retain the integrity of the original idea, the expressive quality of the architectural image, and the precision of the transition from concept to design solution.
Anastasia has worked at ATRIUM since 2017. In 2016, she graduated from Astrakhan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
During her time at the bureau, she has progressed from architect to Head of the Educational Projects Department. She has experience in managing projects of different scales and functions — from concept design to detailed documentation, construction and architectural supervision. Anastasia’s key professional specialisation is the design of educational spaces, as well as interiors for public and learning environments.
Today, Anastasia leads the Education direction at the bureau. She contributes to the development of ATRIUM’s methodology for contemporary educational environments, speaks at professional platforms, and acts as a consultant on the architecture of schools, kindergartens and educational complexes.
Alexey has worked at ATRIUM since 2016. He graduated from Samara State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. During his time at the studio, he has contributed to projects of different scales and typologies, including educational buildings, residential complexes, public spaces, recreational centres and territorial masterplans.
As Head of Project Division, Alexey is responsible for the development and coordination of ATRIUM’s key project directions, ensuring coherent teamwork and the quality of architectural solutions across different stages of project delivery. A separate area of Alexey’s work and interests is connected with developing ATRIUM’s visionary agenda in artificial intelligence and exploring new technological tools for architectural design.
Tatiana has worked at the company since 2005. She began her path at the bureau as Office Administrator, at a time when the team numbered just over 30 people. Today, Tatiana holds the position of Administrative Director at ATRIUM, where around 160 employees now work.
Tatiana is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office, coordinating administrative processes, and creating a comfortable working environment for the entire ATRIUM team.
Maria joined the ATRIUM team in 2020. As Commercial Director, she is responsible for developing and supporting the practice’s key areas of work, building long-term relationships with clients, and coordinating commercial processes for the bureau’s major projects.
Maria’s responsibilities include coordinating project participants, agreeing terms of cooperation, monitoring the fulfilment of obligations, and maintaining effective communication at all stages of work to achieve a high-quality result.
Andrey is responsible for the administrative, technical and operational management of projects, ensuring coordinated work between all participants in the design process. His responsibilities include strategic planning, control of deadlines and the quality of design solutions, communication with clients, and establishing effective interaction between all project stakeholders.
Andrey helps translate strategic goals into specific project tasks and ensures the consistent development of a project from concept to completion.
At ATRIUM, Alexey heads the structural engineering department. Since 2003, he has developed design and detailed documentation and carried out structural calculations for all projects and buildings designed by the studio. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Department of Building Structures and Facilities, and completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Strength of Materials. Before 2003, he worked as Lead Structural Engineer at STROYMONTAGE (MIRAX).
Recent completed projects in which Alexey has been involved include the residential complex on Sovetskoy Armii Street (Barkli Park), the Sheraton hotel in Krasnodar, Symbol Residential District, Letovo Boarding School for Gifted Children, Varshavskaya Life Residential Complex, Botanichesky Sad Residential Complex, Richard Residential Complex, Future Generations Park in Yakutsk, and many others.
Daria has worked at ATRIUM since 2023. She graduated from Volgograd State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and joined the studio as Lead Specialist in Masterplanning and Public Realm. Her professional practice includes the development of landscape concepts, masterplans and territorial development projects, design and detailed documentation, coordination of related disciplines, and work with contractors.
Today, Daria heads the Landscape Design Department. In this role, she is responsible for the urban logic of projects, the precision of engineering coordination, and attention to public realm as an important part of an integrated architectural environment.
Svetlana joined the team in 2017. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Moscow Architectural Institute. She has progressed from architect, working across all design stages from concept to detailed documentation, to Head of Department. Her portfolio includes work on renovation projects, Richard and Symbol residential complexes, the educational complex in Astana, and the socially significant Mayak Centre.
Since 2022, she has headed the interiors direction at ATRIUM. Under her leadership, design concepts and project solutions are developed for the studio’s major projects, including common areas in the Symbol, Primavera, Ostrov and Uzory residential developments.
Artem has worked at ATRIUM since October 2017. He joined the studio as an architect and contributed to the design of major residential, educational and public projects in Moscow, Astana and other cities. In 2019, he moved into the role of BIM Coordinator, working on projects at different stages, including architectural concept, design documentation, tender documentation and detailed documentation. In 2023, he was appointed BIM Manager. This gradual shift from architectural design to BIM coordination shaped his expertise in digital project support, complex model management and project documentation.
Since August 2024, Artem has headed the Building Information Modelling Department, which includes BIM managers and BIM coordinators. He organises the department’s work, distributes tasks, controls deadlines and the quality of BIM processes across architectural, structural and site planning disciplines, and develops and updates modelling standards and collaboration protocols for designers, engineers and contractors. His responsibilities also include maintaining the integrity of digital models, setting up the common data environment, implementing specialist software, training team members in new tools, working with clients and related departments, monitoring industry trends, and preparing proposals for workflow optimisation.
