ATRIUM Architectural Studio has been shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2025, one of the most respected and influential international awards in architecture and urban planning. Each year, WAF brings together leading architectural studios from around the world and offers a unique format for professional dialogue: all finalist projects are presented in person by their authors during live presentations to an international jury.
In 2025, two ATRIUM projects were selected as finalists in two categories, recognised by experts for their methodological depth, spatial precision and ability to transform in response to real-life scenarios.
Category: Future Projects – Education
The Presidential Lyceum project in the Sirius Federal Territory in Sochi rethinks the school as an open and flexible environment for personal development. On a 5.8-hectare site, the project creates a comprehensive system of spaces — a school for 2,500 students, a kindergarten and public centres — organised as a “city within a city”, with streets, routes, forums, squares and green terraces, where educational infrastructure becomes part of the district’s cultural and social fabric.
Category: Completed Buildings – Transport
The private garage project brings together three functions: an exhibition area for collectible cars, a private space for rest and socialising, and sports infrastructure. A continuous volume made of white Corian forms a single ribbon, visually referring to the aesthetics of movement.
The final of the World Architecture Festival took place from 12 to 14 November 2025 in Miami, USA, where both ATRIUM projects were presented live to the international jury and architectural community at one of the world’s leading architecture platforms.
