The spa hotel is located on the shore of Lake Tavatuy in the outskirts of Yekaterinburg. The landscape of this area reveals the beauty of the Siberian plains and forests meeting the grandeur of the Ural Mountains. Rising above these vast open expanses, the building embodies the spirit of the local природной среды.
Like the local rocks that surge from the depths of the earth towards the sky, the massive structure begins at the surface of the hillside and rises upwards. Its geometry is distorted by fissures, bends and shifts of strata, as if it had been shaped by wind and rain and worn by the harsh local climate. The side facing the lake shimmers like crystal, while the rear side responds to people with an enduring silence.
The complex arrangement of the lower spaces recalls caves: here are located the reception area, dining hall, restaurant, water park and medical centre. Above them rise the floors with hotel rooms, each with its own terrace offering a unique view of the lake and the mountains. At the very top is the spa centre, with two pools from which the full panorama of the valley can be enjoyed.
