The spatial organisation of the new city centre is inspired by the model of the medieval town set within an active topography. This characteristic urban structure has been preserved to the present day in the historic part of Veliko Tarnovo.

The concept is aimed at revealing the identity of the place through the articulation of the landscape and the historical traces that shape the new urban framework. The new city centre is formed through the superposition of different functional, semantic and physical layers. This approach creates a comfortable and safe environment with a wide variety of public spaces, green areas and a broad range of activities. It also provides significant opportunities for all types of investors and developers. Such integration into the existing urban fabric will connect different parts of the city and transform the neglected site into a diversified city centre for the future.
